Interview in Style

May’s college grads are about to hit the competitive job interview circuit. So whether you’re graduating, looking for a new job or considering going back to the workforce, here are some interview fashion tips to keep in mind.

Consider your audience. Research the company and the person who is interviewing you. Try to find photos of them at industry events and take that into account as you plan your outfit.

Remember to give your ensemble a test run the night before. Does everything fit as it should? Is anything see-through, too short or tight? If you’re not comfortable with it, chances are your interviewer won’t be either. Trust your gut.

Suit yourself! If you don’t have one already, invest in a well-cut suit or a blazer. Solid neutrals such as black and navy never go out of style. Remember accessories make the outfit. A classic gold metal dress watch, a laptop bag or stylish satchel, and well polished pumps give an air of professionalism.
