Accessorize your fall look!

With relief, I’m ready to bid adieu to fringe and full skirts and welcome a sleeker silhouette in preparation for fall style. It’s an open call for 1980’s diva looks – anything that pays tribute to a 1980’s music video is accepted! Don’t be afraid to rock a leather skirt, biker jacket, or black strap sandals as you begin to switch out your wardrobe.  Pair any of these pieces with geek-chic digital watch.

Equally as bold, oversized bags and totes are taking a final bow before the start of a new fashion season. Bring out the big and fill it up with requisite sunscreen, oversized sunglasses and earmarked beach reads you’ve been meaning to finish before Labor Day.

For those of us who want to play up prints but are now tired of summer’s floral fantasy, pick up a graphic print in black and white that showcases squares, cubes, lines or plaids. Accompany this trend with a pop of color.

Sweet summer style

Escape the August heat by squeezing in time for final summer getaways—to the beach, mountains or somewhere in-between.  Before you “bon voyage,” don’t forget to don some classic style trends that work on the road and neatly fold into daily life back home.

A little gold clutch is my trusted sidekick at any social engagement. Like the grande finale of a fireworks display, it has splash, sparkle and an ever-lasting summer glow.

As end-of-summer roses begin to bloom, so should pink and rose hues on clothes. These feminine, down-right girlie colors add a delicate touch to ruffle blouses, gathered skirts and trim blazers. Not a natural with this color? Try a simple pink headband or a sweet and classic watch to embrace your softer side.  Round out your summer – and travel wardrobe – with accessories that are light and versatile.
